We made it to South Bend IN yesterday. I have always wanted to see Notre Dame so we drove through the campus a little. You can't see very much by driving around campus as much of it is beyond gates that require passes. Walking appears to be the way to really see the university but we didn't have time to get out. It’s a lovely, peaceful place. Maybe another time we can spend more time looking around.
We had dinner at the Mishawaka Brewing Company. There are loads of different restaurants in the area but we decided to try the local micro brew place. Of course, it had really good Irish fare. If you ever get there try the “Four Horsemen Irish Steak Pie”. It is to die for. And, of course, you must have the Stout with it. John had the Fish and Chips with an IPA, but he kept stealing bits of my dish.
We are now in Muscatine, Iowa. Sheila hasn't finished her packing. I don't know what that girl has been wasting her time on. She'll have to get it all done after we have dinner at sister Judy's house tonight. If she doesn't get it done we go without her! Like she'd let us!
